Welcome !

Ne'imah Jewish Community Chorus is a four-voices chorus whose mission is to acquaint, educate and enrich the Jewish and non-Jewish community of the Capital Region of New York State with the variety and richness of the Jewish choral music repertoire, ranging from original works written by contemporary Jewish composers to choral arrangements of existing Jewish folk and liturgical music. "Ne'imah" is the Hebrew word for "being pleasant" and "melody".

Ne'imah has about 30-35 Jewish and non-Jewish amateur singers, who love to sing Jewish choral music. Ne’imah’s singers come from locations in and around the Capital Region.

The 2008-2009 singing season marks Ne'imah's 17th year of existence. This milestone was reached thanks to the talent, dedication and perseverance of Anna Dubrova, Ne'imah's conductor since the chorus' beginning, its piano accompanist for 11 years, Gordon Hibberd, who retired in 2007 and its singers.

This season Ne'imah is very pleased to welcome Carol McGowan as its new piano accompanist.

Ne'imah is open to Jewish and non-Jewish people who love to sing, can join Ne'imah regardless of religion, organizational affiliation, musical sight-reading or foreign language reading ability, age, race, disability or sexual orientation.

Neimah's concerts are open to people of all ages.
